  1. waaaaaaa mba zita…heheh di sini aku gag panggil um ibrahim yaaaa

di jordan nyari bahan2 cake gampang apa susah mba…
aku disini klo udah urusan decorating cake, susyaaaah bgt nyari bahan2 ama alat2nya, mana disini belum nemu produk wilton lage.
Takut jg niy klo bahan2 dr tantangan KBB susah dicari

  3. all the food on this blog look tasty, yummy. haha, unfortunately i can’t cook.

  4. but it’s still using sugar ha ha ha! i thought it is sugarless. i am not really fond of using white sugar in cookies. they tend giving crunchy texture and not the softness a brown sugar will give. however, it is just depending on what a preference is made here. oh, somehow i can’t see the picture! you must have been setting it private on flickr.

I am pleasantly surprised with the texture of these chocolate chip cookies that don’t call for brown sugar. All the other sources say they’d turn out hard otherwise, but these are the perfect combination of soft and chewy!
    ~Thanks!

    • January 26th, 2011

these cookies were sooo good. using a teaspoon to measure the cookie dough out makes them little bite-sized cookies.. which is even better!! instead of walnuts & semi-sweet chocolate, i used 1/2C white chocolate chips & dried cranberries (2 things i had on hand in the kitchen).. and they are amaaaazing. the white chocolate & cranberries together make such a wonderful flavor. plus this recipe gives the cookies such a nice texture. i did not need to cook mine the full 10 minutes. i took them out after 6 min because the bottoms were really starting to brown, & they came out perfect!! will definitely make again!

    • Ruthie
    • January 26th, 2011

oh, also… i read someone said they forgot the salt in the recipe?? i did the same thing! its not in the directions anywhere so i forgot all about it. but mine still came out great, so i dont think its a big deal!

I am currently living in Spain and can’t find brown sugar in small quantities anywhere!!! I was so happy when I found this recipe! The family I am living with absolutely loved them and I have made then 4 times since January. They are very delicious and I cannot wait to make them again for my family back in the US.

    • March 19th, 2011

followed the recipe steps exactly as it was written than realized it forgot to mention the salt…it would be nice iuf someone can fix it so that ppl wouldnt keep making the same mistake!

  5. My Mom always said that any time you have bake something with eggs in it, like cookies or cake, you need to add salt. I looked on the back of the Nestle choc. chip bag (for the Toll House Cookies) and those cookies call for 1 tsp. salt. It also calls for 2 1/4 c. flour, so I am going to adjust the above recipe and see how they turn out! 🙂

the recipe is really simple and easy to follow. The only negative thing I found about it is that the cookies turned out to be really soft…. apart from that…… great taste

  6. These came out a bit dry / floury for me and my daughter’s taste. I like the idea of using honey instead of brown sugar and the taste was nice so I may try adjusting recipe.

    • Andrea

    • March 13th, 2012

Too cakey for my taste, but i think it’s because it calls for baking soda, not baking powder. The overall flavor was ok. 10 minutes is way too long to cook them, i burnt my first batch. The bottom cooks too quickly, maybe turn down the temp to 350.

      • Kaila Alyssa Kosuljandic
      • March 31st, 2012

Thats because some ovens get hotter than older ones now a days. so like the heat is either higher or lower than others. Most likely that is the case.

    • June 18th, 2012

Unfortunately I didn’t have vanilla or honey either ;D haha however, I used melted vanilla ice cream and simple syrup to substitute and the cookies came out wonderfully!!! I will definatly do this again!

The batter was SO DELICIOUS. I thought it would be the best cookie I had ever made. But I was quite disappointed with the texture. I wanted chewy. These were like muffins in texture! It was wicked cake-y and soft. I would probably leave out the baking soda or put far less next time. I like my cookies very dense.

    • August 22nd, 2012

This is an excellent recipe. I made it with the kids while babysitting….they loved making cookies from scratch. We realized we didn’t have honey to take the place of brown sugar so we used some maple syrup to substitute that. It added some extra yummy flavor! I’ll be making these with kids again….and even on my own!

Don’t cook them too long, the fire alarm may go off. We used maple syrup instead of honey, which I couldn’t find, and used about three times as much vanilla. I highly recommend, but be careful not to scoop ’em too big, makes ’em flammable.
